Different Class of Traditional Bricks and their Classifications



 Brick:-Brick is a building material used  to make walls, pavement and other masonry construction. 

Traditional Brick
•Dimension:-(250x125x75)mm.
•Colour:-Cherish Red.
•Shape:-Cuboid in shape.

•Different Class Of Traditional Bricks and their features:-

First Class Bricks:-


~The edges are 90° in angle and all faces are smooth.

~Metallic ringing sound will produce when hitted from header side.

~Water Absorption should not be more than 20% of its mass.

~Compression Test Result- Not Less Than 7.5 N/mm².

~Effloration Test Result- Under 10%.

~Usually used for Building walls of houses or primary building things.

Second Class Bricks:-


~Edges are 90° in angle but faces of bricks are not smooth as compared to First Class Bricks.

~Strength is moderate.

~Effloration Test Results-Above 20% or more.

~Usually used for making Boundary walls of house,offices etc.

Third Class Bricks:-


~Rough faces of this type of bricks.

~Easily breakable.

~Used for Boundary purpose.

Fourth Class Bricks:-


~Non-uniformed Shape.

~Usually they present half or quarter in size.

~Usually mixed up with mortar for more strength.
